Dive Insight:
David’s Bridal wants to streamline how vendors talk with couples.
The retailer’s Pearl Connect platform cuts down on multiple forms of communication and instead simplifies the means to talk with people planning their weddings.
“The vendor doesn't have to spend the first several exchanges figuring out whether the opportunity is a fit,” Elina Vilk, president and chief business officer at David's Bridal, said in a statement. “Together, Pearl Planner and Pearl Connect create a wedding planning flywheel: couples plan and share intent, vendors gain context around that intent, and both sides get a simpler path to a real connection and tangible business growth.”
The company’s Pearl Planner originally launched in 2025 as an AI tool that helps couples manage wedding tasks. A free, AI budgeting feature was introduced within the platform this spring.
Pearl Connect’s features include a communication hub; next steps so tasks can be synced to Google, Outlook or Apple calendars; self-service scheduling and analytics for vendors.
The technology is in step with the company’s overarching digital-first Aisle to Algorithm strategy, first introduced in 2025. A tenet of that approach is to support couples through every touchpoint of the wedding planning process.
