- E-commerce software supplier NetSuite Inc. is buying online marketing firm Bronto Software for $200 million.
- NetSuite customers include many business-to-business marketers, as well as large retailers such as Groupon Goods, Bed Bath & Beyond and PureFormulas.com.
- Bronto provides email marketing to more than 100 of Internet Retailer’s Top 1,000 firms, including JustFab Inc. and CafePress.com.
NetSuite Inc. is buying Bronto Software, bringing together a major e-commerce platform and an online marketing automation firm. NetSuite supplies order management software, customer relationship management (CRM) services and fulfillment to more than 3,000 companies, including dozens of the nation’s largest retailers.
With Bronto’s e-mail marketing capabilities, the companies will be able to better integrate inventory and customer information into clients' marketing messages. Both companies are growing fast, and will continue to operate separately. Worth $200 million, the deal is expected to close in the second quarter of 2015.
