Diana Marshall, chief experience officer for Sam’s Club at Walmart Inc., is exiting her role. The move is the latest in a series of leadership changes at Walmart since John Furner became CEO.
The news was first reported by The Wall Street Journal and announced in an internal memo from Sam’s Club President and CEO Latriece Watkins, which Walmart shared with Retail Dive on Tuesday.
Walmart did not respond to Retail Dive’s questions about finding a successor for Marshall or its broader plans for the position.
Marshall has worked at Walmart since 2005, per her LinkedIn account. The executive previously served as the chief growth officer for Sam’s Club before taking on her most recent position in 2025.
“Diana brought a unique combination of operational expertise, merchant instincts, strategic thinking, and member focus that helped us accelerate the business and position Sam's Club for long-term growth,” Watkins said in the internal memo. “Her leadership has helped us reimagine how we serve members and associates.”
The departure comes a few weeks after Tom Ward, chief operating officer at Sam’s Club, and Cedric Clark, chief of store operations at Walmart, announced they would exit the company.
