Ulta Beauty has tapped Kristin Wolf to become the company’s chief strategy and growth officer.
In the role, Wolf will continue leading corporate strategy, development and new growth initiatives. Her scope will expand to “drive value creation” and support of the company’s continued integration of AI, according to details shared with Retail Dive on Tuesday.
Wolf has been at the company since 2019 and has led several initiatives at the beauty retailer, including the development of Conscious Beauty at Ulta Beauty, and contributed to the execution of the retailer's broader strategy, per the details.
She most recently served as senior vice president of enterprise strategy and new growth at Ulta before her promotion. Prior to Ulta, Wolf worked in various leadership roles at Tyson Foods and Kraft Foods, as well as serving as a consultant at McKinsey & Company.
“We’ve been incredibly fortunate to have Kristin on the Ulta Beauty team since 2019,” CEO Kecia Steelman said in a statement. “She has been instrumental in establishing our Ulta Beauty Unleashed strategy and spearheading new growth initiatives, including the launch of our wellness category and international expansion efforts. As we look to the future, we are confident that Kristin’s strategic leadership will be integral to unleashing even more possibilities and achieving our vision of being the most loved beauty destination.”
Since Steelman took over the chief executive spot in 2025, Ulta has tapped several new C-suite executives, including a chief marketer, chief merchant and digital officer, and chief financial officer.
The company’s fourth quarter net sales increased 11.8% year over year to $3.9 billion, per a March release. The growth was partly due to a 5.8% jump in comparable sales and the acquisition of Space NK. Ulta expects full-year net sales to increase between 6% and 7% and comp sales to grow between 2.5% and 3.5%.
