Dive Brief:
- Tractor Supply Company hired Fahim Siddiqui as its executive vice president and chief technology and digital officer, the rural retailer said Wednesday. He starts Monday and will report to President and CEO Hal Lawton.
- Siddiqui will oversee the company’s enterprise technology and digital organization, including its digital infrastructure, business applications, digital commerce and cybersecurity. He will also work to improve the retailer’s customer experience, bolstering the company’s long-term growth ambitions, according to the release.
- Before joining Tractor Supply, Siddiqui was executive vice president and chief information officer at The Home Depot between April 2022 and May 2025. He was promoted to the position after the home improvement retailer hired him as its senior vice president of information technology in December 2018, the company said.
Dive Insight:
Siddiqui brings more than 30 years of business and technology experience to his new position as Tractor Supply reworks its digital strategy. Before managing The Home Depot’s enterprise technology, cybersecurity and other digital functions, he held senior roles at companies such as Staples, Vidyo and Intralinks, per the press release.
“Technology plays an important role in how we serve our customers and support our Team Members,” Lawton said in a press release. “Fahim brings a strong combination of technical expertise, retail knowledge and business leadership that will serve Tractor Supply well. We’re excited to welcome him to our leadership team and look forward to his contributions as we continue to deliver Legendary Service.”
During the Home Delivery World event earlier this year, Kyle Langley, vice president of final mile at Tractor Supply, said the retailer used AI to make its last-mile deliveries more efficient. The company also plans to use AI to estimate future delivery times.
