Dive Insight:
After three years, Love Your Melon is back with one of its founders.
“Over the summer, we reimagined how the brand could meet the movement it sparked — donations of 270,000 hats to children and their families and over $10 million to pediatric cancer nonprofits,” Quinn said in an email. The brand’s relaunch on Monday represents “a new expression of everything this community has built together, bringing back our Buy One, Give One program, launching new collections, and setting an ambitious early goal to donate 100,000 hats in the first 100 days.”
As part of the relaunch, LYM will offer both new and classic styles of beanie caps. The Essentials Collection features the new LYM logo in a variety of colors, while the Classic Collection features the brand’s traditional Love Your Melon leather patch on cuffed to slouchy beanies and pom beanies.
LYM will also offer various accessories and add-ons, like poms, wash bags, patches and sticker packs. The company also plans a warehouse sale in its home city of Minneapolis, per the release.
“This is personal,” Quinn said in a statement. “We started this company in our college apartment with a simple idea to give a hat to every child battling cancer. That mission still drives everything we do. Now, with my family by my side, we’re bringing LYM back to its roots and building toward something even bigger.”
