People with insurance at participating health plans will be able to bring their bills to a CVS/pharmacy store to pay their premiums at no cost to them, CVS Caremark announced last week.
The service, provided through a partnership with InComm, will begin later this spring, the company said.
Payments will be able to be made at any CVS store, at any register, and customers will be able to pay in cash, or with credit or debit cards.
CVS has made several moves recently that show it is serious about becoming a major player in health care. The company is expanding its healthcare services and is phasing out tobacco sales, which it says conflicts with its mission to cater to customers’ health and wellness needs. With this latest service, CVS/pharmacy stores are making it that much easier for customers to treat their local pharmacy as a healthcare provider and vendor.
