Best Buy is jumpstarting the holiday selling season with deals and special discounts across an assortment of product categories.
Following an improved Q2, where revenue grew 1.6% but net earnings decreased 36%, Best Buy is doubling down this fall by expanding product categories and extending holiday promotions.
As part of its holiday promotions, Best Buy is extending its store hours and offering customers immersive in-store demonstrations of tech. Additionally, if the price of a product sold by Best Buy goes lower during the holiday season the company will match it. The retailer has also extended its holiday return and exchange policy, meaning most gifts purchased from Oct. 31 through Dec. 31 can be returned through Jan. 15.
Best Buy will offer up to 50% off select tech products during its “Cyber Sunday and Monday” sale in November.
Best Buy online has created a holiday gift ideas page, where consumers can shop for products curated around travel, dining, gaming, and home.
“No one does the holiday shopping season like Best Buy, so we decided to expand the definition of ‘holiday’ and start the fun on Halloween this year,” Jason Bonfig, chief customer, product and fulfillment officer at Best Buy, said in a statement. “Whether you want to shop in your costume, or wait until Black Friday, we’ll be here all season long with the best gifts, unbelievable deals and endless ways to discover the coolest products.”
Outside of Best Buy, other retailers have been promoting early holiday sales. Amazon earlier this month brought back its Prime Big Deal Days event, while Walmart and Target held similar sales events themed around the holidays.
