Best Buy is kicking off the holiday season by debuting its gifting center — which features curated gift guides and product highlights — earlier than ever before, according to a Monday press release.
“Technology is always at the top of holiday gift lists and helping customers discover and experience it is what we do best,” Patrick McGinnis, chief revenue officer at Best Buy, said in a statement. “No matter how our customers prefer to shop, whether in stores or online, we’re making it easier to find the right tech with the expertise and support that make all the difference, especially during the holidays.”
The electronics retailer is highlighting its assortment of video games — such as the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI — RGB LED TVs, wearable tech, trading cards, kitchen appliances and more for the holidays.
The company is pushing immersive experiences to pull festive shoppers into stores, with select locations in October debuting a dedicated Google area to showcase their product lineup.
That adds to Best Buy’s Meta Lab shop-in-shops, which are being rolled out to 50 locations and offer interactive demos and personalized fittings of Meta’s technology.
The company is offering next-day delivery in nearly every metro market and shoppers can also purchase products from Best Buy via ChatGPT.
Beyond its own assortment, the retailer’s latest holiday push comes about a year after it launched its online marketplace, which features holiday decorations and other merchandise from third-party sellers.
The company’s Q2 domestic revenue grew 4.3% year over year to about $9 billion, per a release last month. Best Buy’s domestic comps jumped 4.5%, with growth in categories such as computing offset by a decline in the traditional gaming category.
