Dive Brief:
- Supergoop has hired Peloton veteran Lauren Weinberg as its chief marketing officer.
- In her new role, Weinberg is charged with overseeing all facets of marketing, product innovation, creative, consumer insights, strategic partnerships, and communications, per a company press release.
- Weinberg was most recently Peloton’s chief marketing officer before exiting the role in April 2025.
Dive Insight:
Weinberg’s appointment as chief marketer comes on the heels of Supergoop naming former Amazon beauty executive Melis del Rey its new CEO in November.

Although Weinberg comes to the company with decades of experience in marketing including at Square, Yahoo, MTV and AOL, Supergoop represents a new category for her.
“I was deliberate about what came next in my career,” Weinberg said in a LinkedIn post. “I'm also energized by the chance to learn something new. I've gone from media to fintech to fitness, and I've found that moving into unfamiliar territory is where I do my best work. Beauty and skincare is new for me — and in this role, I'm also overseeing product innovation, which adds a whole new layer to the opportunity.”
Del Rey called Weinsberg “a world-class marketing leader with a rare ability to balance creativity, performance, and operational rigor.”
"As Supergoop continues to grow and introduce millions of new consumers to SPF as a daily ritual, Lauren's leadership will be instrumental in strengthening our brand, deepening consumer connection, and fueling long-term demand,” Del Rey said.
Supergoop has been on a path of expansion since Blackstone Growth acquired a majority stake in the company in late 2021. The brand is one of about 60 added to Target’s beauty selections following the retailer’s separation from Ulta Beauty, which is abandoning its shop-in-shop partnership this August.
