Although Facebook is still being used by marketers to connect with customers and remains the most popular social network used by them, only 34% think it’s working, according to Social Media Examiner's 2014 Social Media Marketing Industry Report.

Twitter is second to Facebook, with 83% of marketers tweeting, and LinkedIn is third. Less than a third (28%) are using Instagram and a tiny 1% use Snapchat.

This report also found that some 68% marketers intend to increase their use of blogging, with 58% saying original written content in all social media is essential. The lack of faith marketers have in Facebook isn’t reflected in their use of it so far. But, unless Facebook makes some changes, including addressing its organic reach, the world’s most used social network might ultimately be let go by many of these marketing professionals.
