Google has acquired Rangespan, a London-based startup started by two former Amazon employees three years ago, that uses data to help retailers figure out details and timing of product availability.
The founders and other Rangespan employees will work at Google’s Google Shopping, the company’s e-commerce team.
The internet giant didn’t reveal details of the purchase terms.
Google has looked to the U.K. before for its expansion, having previously acquired British AI company Deep Mind and drone company Titan Aerospace. This time the internet giant snapped up Rangespan, a move that will help it expand its retail operations.
