Webinar on Dec. 5: Mobile Commerce Outlook 2013: Up, Down or Flat?
Mobile commerce is entering a new era of growth, spurred by increased consumer usage of mobile devices for searching, shopping, promotions, marketing and buying on-device and in-store.
In this free hour-long webinar on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. ET, senior executives from Dell, Orbitz, Starcom and and sponsor Fiksu will discuss what to expect in mobile commerce in 2013 – a year which might prove critical for mobile’s influence on other retail channels, given that one out of two phones in consumer hands are now Web- and application-enabled.
“Mobile is maturing to the point where the discussions for optimized commerce-enabled presence revolve not around why, but when,” said Mickey Alam Khan, editor in chief of Mobile Marketer and Mobile Commerce Daily, New York.
“What retailers, marketers and financial services companies are finding is that consumers are increasingly beginning the research and shopping process on smartphones and tablets and then migrating the buying to the device itself or influencing the purchasing decisions in-store,” he said. “Mobile is now the shopper’s best friend. It is up to retailers to treat mobile the same way, or as some do, as a frenemy because of the showrooming reality.”
This webinar is one in a series produced by Mobile Commerce Daily to inform and educate retailers, marketers and financial services companies on the ins and outs of mobile. Like its predecessors, the Dec. 5 effort will also focus on mobile’s role next year to drive traffic to other channels.
Themes discussed in the webinar:
? What retailers, brands and financial services firms can expect in the year ahead
? Which mobile channel, if any, will be the breakout star in 2013
? How mobile is changing the shopper
? The threat of showrooming
? Surprises ahead and how to act or react
? Lessons learned from 2012
