EBay expands 1-hour delivery app to San Jose
In addition to the San Jose expansion, eBay has also launched its mobile Web version of eBay Now. Currently, eBay Now is available in New York, San Francisco and San Jose.
“Mobile technology has enabled consumers to shop anytime, anywhere they want and eBay is leading the way in developing new and exciting ways to connect people to the things they need and love, the moment inspiration strikes,” said David Ramadge, head of eBay Now.
“EBay Now is making local shopping easier and more convenient than ever by giving users their own personal delivery service, wherever they are, from phone to door often in as little as an hour,” he said.
“Through this seamless shopping experience eBay is not only helping people find the things they love but also connecting retailers to customers in an increasingly competitive landscape where the lines between online and offline shopping are increasingly blurred.”

The eBay Now app is a great way for consumers to place orders for products they want right then and there.
Mobile helps marketers create a seamless shopping experience.
The eBay Now app is available in Apple’s App Store and anyone within the San Jose, San Francisco and New York service areas can place orders for delivery.
Additionally, eBay is implementing various marketing tactics including targeted emails, transit advertising and more.
“EBay is a leader in mobile commerce,” Mr. Ramadge said. “In 2012 we did $13 billion of mobile commerce volume and we estimate $20 billion for 2013.
“Our apps have been downloaded more than 120 million times and are available in 190 countries and 8 languages,” he said.
“Mobile is driving a paradigm shift in how consumers shop and how retailers connect with customers and eBay is innovating across screens to drive engaging experiences for consumers anytime anywhere.”
