Doba, an AI-powered dropshipping operations platform, today announced a major upgrade to Doba Pilot, its AI dropshipping agent built on Doba's product catalog, supplier data, store connections and platform knowledge. The latest release introduces Scheduled Tasks, Long-Term Memory, a centralized Library and predefined Skills, enabling sellers to schedule recurring research, retain sourcing preferences across sessions and save reusable outputs — without rebuilding context from scratch.
The Challenge: Fragmented Tools, Ephemeral Sessions
Running a dropshipping business involves a chain of connected decisions — from market research and product sourcing to store setup, listing and ongoing operations. Most sellers manage these steps across separate tools, spreadsheets and manual processes, with no single environment linking them together.
AI tools have begun to address parts of this chain, but most are built for isolated tasks such as generating product descriptions or answering one-off questions. Even when sellers find useful results, they must re-enter criteria, restate preferences and manually organize outputs each time they start a new session. As catalogs and channel requirements grow, this fragmented, session-by-session approach becomes a meaningful drag on productivity.
What Pilot Already Delivers: A Connected Workflow
Doba Pilot takes a different approach. Rather than addressing a single task, it serves as a conversational entry point that connects multiple stages of the dropshipping workflow within one environment.
Since its public launch in March 2026, Pilot has progressively built out this chain. Market Scout generates structured market reports covering demand, competition, pricing and seasonality. AI Product Sourcing searches Doba's catalog based on category, target market, shipping preferences and supplier performance. Store setup and connection support Shopify (including AI Store Builder), BigCommerce and Wix. AI Listing generates and optimizes product titles and descriptions, configures pricing and publishes products to connected stores.
These capabilities established Pilot as a research-to-listing assistant. What was still missing was the ability to make those workflows persistent and repeatable.
What This Upgrade Adds
This release introduces four capabilities that close that gap:
Scheduled Tasks let sellers automate recurring product sourcing, market analysis and listing tasks at defined intervals — without re-entering criteria each cycle.
Long-Term Memory retains preferences such as sourcing criteria, target markets and content formats, and applies them to future interactions.
Library provides a centralized workspace where sourcing results, listing records and market reports are stored for review and reuse.
Skills organize Pilot's capabilities into browsable starting points for common workflows like product research, listing preparation and store setup.
Together, these features create a closed loop: define a task, retain context, run it on a schedule and preserve results for future reference.
"Online sellers don't just need answers from a single conversation — they need an AI agent that remembers their requirements, executes on a schedule and keeps results organized," said Mandy Ji, CEO of Doba. "Our goal is to make Doba Pilot a persistent operations layer for dropshipping — connecting market intelligence, sourcing, listing and seller support in one place, rather than scattering these steps across disconnected tools and sessions."
Practical Applications
A seller sourcing U.S.-warehouse pet products, for example, can schedule a weekly search with specific category, price and shipping criteria. Results are saved to the Library for comparison across weeks. When the seller is ready to list, Pilot applies their retained content and pricing preferences — reducing the setup required for each new batch.
More broadly, sellers can schedule recurring product discovery across any category or sourcing requirement, reference earlier market reports in future tasks and carry forward listing preferences to new sessions, reducing the need to repeatedly explain the same business requirements.
The upgrade also improves product recommendations by incorporating seller-defined sourcing criteria and market-research inputs. Sellers retain full responsibility for reviewing suitability and making final decisions.
What's Coming Next
Doba plans to continue expanding Pilot's operational scope. Upcoming capabilities include eBay multi-channel listing with AI-powered attribute completion, an Order Fulfillment Agent for order tracking, logistics interpretation and after-sales actions, and an upgraded Business Support assistant for subscription, billing and supplier inquiries. These additions are designed to extend Pilot's coverage from research and listing into fulfillment and ongoing seller support — moving it closer to a full-cycle dropshipping operations agent.
Complementary AI Tools
The Doba AI Tool Hub complements Pilot with specialized tools — including AI Store Builder, AI Pickr, AI Auto Lister, AI Listing Optimizer, AI Listing Migrator and AI Image Studio — that support individual tasks from product discovery through store-ready listings. Availability varies by tool, channel and subscription level.
