UK-based software provider Enactor Ltd announced that it has completed a successful pilot with Frasers Group plc (formerly Sports Direct). The pilot to deploy Enactor’s Point-of-Sale software for Frasers’ clothing brand Jack Wills went live in only six weeks. This was the first milestone of an enterprise agreement signed at the start of 2020 for Enactor to deliver a single, flexible platform across all Frasers Group Global retail operations and brands. When the full deployment is complete, physical stores across the Group will run Enactor's Store Solutions. Enactor OMS (Order Management System) will manage omnichannel ordering and customer journeys.
Promoting flexibility, self-sufficiency and compliance
In today’s constantly changing market conditions, brands must be able to easily and quickly introduce changes like adding new stores or payment systems. Frasers Group chose Enactor partly due to the platform’s microservice architecture and toolkit, which offers flexibility and self-sufficiency. With Enactor’s visual toolkit, any non-technical person can easily make these changes to the system, without needing custom development or consulting support.
As Frasers Group rolls out Enactor internationally, it will also rely on Enactor’s dedicated Fiscalisation Team. This team works with global retailers to ensure that systems are recording transactions in compliance with each country’s rules and appropriate VAT is paid.
Evan Cycles phasing in OMS
As Frasers Group expands its omnichannel services, it will phase in Enactor OMS, starting in its Evans Cycles stores. The Group will deploy Enactor OMS to help elevate the customer experience and optimise store inventory across all channels and brands. Each brand will have the flexibility to tailor the Enactor Platform to best service their customer journeys.
According to a Frasers Group spokesperson, “We are always seeking ways to use technology to continually innovate across our brands and deliver great customer experiences that elevate our retail proposition. We are excited to get all our stores on Enactor’s single technology base and make it our own. In modern retail, it’s vitally important to be able to move fast and deliver what the business needs across all channels. We see the Enactor Platform as key to helping us achieve our long-term strategic goals.”
