Vea Celebrates One Billion Records with New Software Release
SenSource’s Vea Reporting Platform recently surpassed One Billion Records and pushed its latest software release featuring many improvements focused on customer experience.
YOUNGSTOWN, OH March 12, 2020: Certain milestones are worth taking a pause to celebrate which is what Ohio-based SenSource, Inc. recently did when it surpassed its one-billionth record recorded in its cloud-based Vea Reporting Platform. “One billion records is a true achievement and a testament to the dedication of our team. We are singularly focused on providing innovative people counting technology solutions that enable our customers to make better business decisions, and this milestone drives us even more,” said Joe Varacelli, SenSource President.
During a company-wide celebratory breakfast, Jeremy Forsythe, SenSource Director of Software Engineering, announced the platform’s newest release, most of which was focused on customer facing improvements. “One billion records is an amazing feat, but we are already looking ahead to two billion. This release was mostly directed by customer feedback, enabling new features and improvements that should drive more usage and deeper engagement.”
Making Foot Traffic Data Meaningful
Collecting foot traffic data in many different types of locations is a challenge SenSource has tackled over its two decades of history. Leveraging that foot traffic data into decision making tools is a challenge that has been greatly aided by Vea. Vea allows users to quickly analyze traffic patterns and make informed decisions about retail store layouts, staffing levels, educational funding requests and many other impactful key business activities.
Vea also allows users to go beyond foot traffic data. Occupancy Metrics, Queue Management and Customer Engagement are just examples of measurable and actionable ways to impact various organizations.
Improvements and Looking Ahead
“We are always interested in how our customers use Vea, and any improvements they desire,” Forsythe mentioned. “This newest release is a perfect example of our customer focused development plan.” One area Vea’s development team honed in on was speed and performance. “We never want system speed to be an issue. While the performance wasn’t suffering by any means, we wanted to add in some scalable caching so as usage grows all customers continue to experience high performance,” Forsythe continued.
Reporting and analytics were also high priority improvements for the team. More in-depth and customizable charts and reports that can be scheduled to email automatically make digesting Vea’s data easier than ever before. “We like the automation aspect of Vea,” Dan Aluise, SenSource General Manager stated. He continued, “once users start receiving these reports automatically, they often comment to us that they don’t know how they ever ran their businesses without them.”
According to Forsythe, this latest release certainly won’t be the last. “We have two additional releases in development right now. We have very high expectations, and have every intention of delivering them within the coming months.”
