GameStop is promoting the May 19 release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt video game with a desktop Monster Hunt in partnership with Google Maps and Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment. Leveraging Google’s Street View, the gamified promo will ask players to log in at GameStop.com to hunt monsters on real city streets around the world for the opportunity to win one of 100 $50 gift cards.
GameStop will offer clues via social media on Facebook, Google+ and Twitter. The promo is a natural for the retailer, which sells video games, consumer electronics and wireless services at more than 6,600 stores in 14 countries.
