Dive Brief:
-
Lands’ End has named Steven Rado chief marketing officer two months after Sears split the company off.
-
Rado, who most recently was at Office Depot and has an extensive retail resume, will oversee forecasting and analytics, catalog and e-commerce operations, digital marketing, customer acquisition, public relations and advertising, and consumer insights, according to the company.
-
Lands’ End was spun off from Sears April 4.
Dive Insight:
The outlook for Lands’ End has been somewhat bleak, with its share price falling and its continued affiliation with struggling Sears stores not helping much. Steven Rado has a lot on his plate as the outdoor clothing retailer works to find a way clear of Sears, but he has the retail chops to get things done.
