The Limited is the latest retailer to offer a cross-channel, reserve online/pickup in-store option. Following successful testing at stores in Washington, D.C., and Columbus, Ohio, The Limited will introduce the Reserve Online, Ready In-Store service at all of its 225 full-line stores in the United States.
Customers choosing the option will be able to reserve items online, select a preferred store, and receive confirmation and pick-up instructions via e-mail or text within two hours. Unlike many retailers’ options, select items will be held through the following day for purchase and pickup instead of requiring purchase online first.
