The winter holiday shopping season—defined by the National Retail Federation (NRF) as sales occurring during November and December—is by far the most profitable time of year for nearly every retailer. Sales can comprise up to 20-40% of a retailer’s annual sales, with online sales alone predicted to reach $105 billion during the holiday this year.
